Set to Launch Labor Day Weekend 2010!
The Green Industry is on the verge of a major milestone this Labor Day weekend with the launch of Earth-List Version 3.0, the most complete internet resource to ever serve the emerging Green marketplace. Debuting in April of 2008 as a simple Green business directory, the Earth-List.com of today has evolved to encompass that and so much more. Earth-List Version 3.0 marks the fifth phase of Earth-List’s major development over the course of two and a half years, with each step along the way taking Earth-List closer to its goal of ‘bringing Green together sm’ for both businesses and consumers.
To accomplish its goal, Earth-List Version 3.0 is launching with an assortment of products and services tailored to assist both businesses and consumers in the Green marketplace. The Green ScoreCard Rating System is a cornerstone of the new services launched by Earth-List.com, being developed to provide a simple and transparent assessment of a company’s level of environmental and social responsibility. As Earth-List.com Founder and Green ScoreCard Developer Mike D’Ascanio explains, ‘I am very excited for the launch of the Green ScoreCard. My goal with Earth-List has always been to educate people and businesses on how they can all make a positive difference in the world, and every little bit helps. With the launch of the Green ScoreCard Rating, businesses will be able to benchmark their environmental efforts and work towards improving as they continue to grow.’
Along with the Green ScoreCard Rating System, Earth-List is launching the GreenMan Shop, the first online store to REQUIRE all vendors to obtain a rating [Green ScoreCard Rating] to be eligible to sell their products. In addition to a rating, all items sold in the GreenMan Shop are individually screened as to provide consumers with a trusted online source for their Green shopping needs. ‘The GreenMan Shop is truly a revolutionary platform,’ Mike goes on to explain. ‘We are setting out to create the new industry standard; all in an effort to unite the Green Movement and provide people with a simple means to do their part for the environment.’ Being named after Earth-List’s official mascot and pop culture sensation [Green Man™], Earth-List’s new online store will be sure to live up to its name.

‘We are kicking off the launch with a BANG’ says Earth-List.com COO Peter Sinkevich. ‘This past week marked the start of our involvement in The VP Contest, a TV reality show pilot in which we are utilizing 25 marketing and sales experts to assist us in the launch of Earth-List 3.0. Our traffic has already hit record breaking numbers in the first week!’ The VP Contest will continue over the course of seven weeks with top producing contestants having the opportunity to interview for a full-time position with Earth-List.
